Design With Nature by Mario Cucinella
At S. Project’s Pavilion 15
Described as an organism by Mario Cucinella, founder and creative, this installation has 1,400 sqm and it’s “a virtuous ecosystem that will ideally represent the future of home living”. The main goal is to reflect on contemporary concerns and explore the relationship between nature and the way we live with it which the creator hope will reflect in the future of design. In sum, it is a “‘ecosystemic know-how”.

SaloneSatellite
At Pavilion 1 and 3, Rho Fairgrounds
With 600 promising young designers, the 23rd Edition of SaloneSatellite potentiates new connections between the international design schools, young people, the new start-ups, and the manufacturing world. Considering the main focus on sustainability, these pavilions will include sensory experiences to effectively communicate the need to consider the World’s needs. As a design citadel, there are two central squares to link with other hubs, and it’s important to mention that the SaloneSatellite Award is back with its 11th edition, which is chaired by Paola Antonelli, Senior Curator, Architecture & Design Director, Research and Development, MoMA.

At Sala delle Cariatidi
Created as a monumental camera obscure, the six-meter-high and 24-meter-deep parallelepiped structure will create a three-act spectacle. The goal? It’s to celebrate the city of Milan with a multi-sensorial experience. Designed and produced by Davide Rampello, this incredible experience wants us to enter a camera obscure where eleven masterpieces will be exposed to explore a narrative. The “magic box” will be completely dark and it will be turned into a cinema where 11 films by 11 leading Italian filmmakers will be displayed.
Talks
The Supersalone Experience was a success in the past, and it’s happening again. This year’s edition has a female trio: Chiara Alessi, Maria Cristina Didero, and Beatrice Leanza to encourage conversations and debates about the main motto of this 60th Edition: sustainability, namely the ecologic transition and the role of the digital.
Welcome Project
Happening for the seventh year, the Welcome Project is all about the international role of Salone Del Mobile. Milano and the city want to receive warmly and with inclusion. With the collaboration of several organizations, such as the Municipality of Milan, or the leading design schools, approximately 100 students will help visitors orient themselves around the city, with information about the city or about the organized events at the iSaloni Fair.
Salone Del Mobile 2022 has so much to offer. It’s more than a fair and an exhibition, it’s indeed an experience that wants to make us reflect and think about the World, and you have until June, 12th to go there. Don’t miss your opportunity!
