Design and Technology With A Human Dimension
iSaloni 2022, as we know, has a variety of events, exhibits, conferences, live talks, and so on, that want to inspire us, and the S. Project is no different. A focus on nature, the circular economy, and craftsmanship connected with design, minimalism, and emotional strength are everywhere at this exhibition. With 116 exhibitors present at S. Project to offer places to live where well-being is the main focus, the second edition is a return to the origins, a recovery of natural materials, and ecological and sustainable processes.
The materials that dominate the scene are wood treated in natural ways with sinuous and ergonomic lines. Moreover, kitchens and bathrooms, combine smart technologies to facilitate and optimize consumption.
Also, very relevant tapestries, wallpapers, and tiles are assembled manually and dry, and the furnishing complements, vases and lights are a cement between indoors, and outdoors, which means that life is needed to be lived equally between home, office, and social settings.

Furthermore, the installation “Design With Nature” by the architect Mario Cucinella is a splendid way to reflect how we need to adapt and change facing environmental challenges. How? With new ways of inhabiting the World in collaboration, instead of exploitation.
Regarding, Gessi, they have a green philosophy way – wellness for nature – which is their goal since they were born thirty years ago. With innovative multifunction programs, or taps that respond to the client’s needs, sustainability is the way.
For Artemide, illumination is the core and they have eleven luminous arms all united and connected in a technological device. Very graphic, and minimalist, it has a diffuser in a range of diverse textures, and materials, namely fibers existing in nature, and sustainable yarns.
On the other hand, and talking about tapestry, Mariantonia Urru displays a vast selection of handmade carpets produced by expert weavers. With traditional processes being used and combined with the collaboration with well-known designers, this exhibition is unmissable as well.
Still, about tapestry, Jan Kath is one of the most remarkable carpet designers. With a creative center in Germany, his designs are focused in Nepal, India, Thailand, and Morocco. Clearly focused on social sustainability, wool and silk are hand-woven with a palette of over 1200 colors.
On the other hand, Zant‘s reflection on the future of production, and sustainability is focused on carving blocks of wood with which splendid and unique pieces are craftsmanship, made out of ingenious skills, and creative designs by the partners.
Last but not least, Atelier Vierkant has tactile pots, and vases in large and outsized sizes focuses in ancestral forms, raw finishes, and earth colors. These Belgian creatives are very concerned about social and environmental changes, and they are exposing handcrafted and dyed with natural oxides pieces.
