This season is all about giving a breath of fresh air to home designs with bright and fun colors that connect us to the beautiful floral landscapes of spring and this NY Studio was no exception.
You might also have heard about this year’s star according to Pantone – Greenery – and it’s fellow mates – Primrose yellow and Island paradise blue. These unique colors have been the inspiration for many designers and decorators, including the New York based studio New Design Project for its newest project in Manhattan, where he was brave enough to combine a wide diversity of styles and color pallets together for the apartment’s renovation. The result was pretty unique.
The apartment, named Fresh and Serene on Park Avenue South, was renovated for a young client. The designers wanted the space to reflect both the location and the tenant’s lifestyle and also balanced a color scheme of grey and beige with dark accents and blue tones.
Adding to contrasts across the interior, different styles of furniture are used together. Mid-century-style chairs stand alongside modern furnishings, like the designers’ custom made marble and black oak nightstands in the bedroom, and floating upholstered bench in the dining room.
Instead of modifying the layout of the spaces, the studio used statement lighting to draw attention to structural aspects of the space already presents.
This renovation consists in a thoughtful and cozy design that can adapt to the lifestyle of any person.
