If you thought Kim and Kanye’s Versailles rehearsal dinner was the epitome of extravagance, think again. A new Baroque-inspired hotel, The 13, takes the cake as the ultimate luxury indulgence.
Maison Valentina invites you to take a tour around this exclusive and amazing hotel:
According to the Daily Mail, The 13 is the brainchild of Chinese billionaire Stephen Hung, chairman of Louis XIII Holdings Ltd., which was named after the French king who built — you guessed it – the Palace of Versailles.
Located in the gambling capital of Macau, the opulent palace cost a staggering $1.4 billion to build, and takes the rank as one of the world’s most expensive hotels with a price tag of over $7 million per guest room.
Dripping in gold and outfitted with scrollwork, elaborate frescoes, crystal chandeliers and chrome furnishings, The 13 is every bit the French manse. The “entry-level” Villa du Comte room (only a modest 2,000 square feet in size) boasts an expansive Roman bath, vaulted ceiling, neoclassical columns and a retractable marble floor.
The amenities don’t end there. The 13 will also house an invitation-only L’Atelier for guests to shop couture products, as well as an outpost of Paris’ three-Michelin-star restaurant, L’Ambroisie.
The “all-villa” hotel is set to open late this summer. All of its 200 suites will have 24-hour butler service, as well as a fleet of customized Rolls-Royce Phantoms to chauffer guests.
Though nightly rates have yet to be released, there’s no doubt the price tag will measure up to this over-the-top, one-of-a-kind experience.
