The Danish Art Gallery Kinfolk in Copenhagen opens its doors to the ‘Reform Design Biennale 2016′. On display are fifteen pieces from young European designers, architects and artists which have been selected by a number of practitioners as well as the REFORM team.
The event is a biannual exhibition, a common ground and a movement for a new generation of designers, craftsmen, architects and artists challenging traditional ways of creative thinking. it is a free space to experiment in order to investigate and create new functions, expressions, ideas, processes, craft and technologies. The Kinfolk Gallery was an ideal setting to host beautifully crafted works including ceramic, textile and furniture products from a number of talented creatives.
The exhibition was formulated by textile designer Margrethe Odgaard who states that ‘REFORM is an opportunity to rewind in a business with a lot of fast forward. Any given object with a story can be reformed, and any given time needs reforms. it is important to question the things that surround us and ask ourselves, if we can do different and better. This is a movement I would like to be a part of.’
