The Amazing Christmas Trees of Claridge’s – After prestigious fashion designers like John Galiano, Burberry, Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana and Kally Ellis for Alexander McQueen it’s Karl Lagerfeld‘s turn to shine and dress the five-star hotel lobby for Christmas 2017.

2009 – John Galiano for Dior
In 2009, in the beginning of the project, the selected designer was John Galiano.
2010 – John Galiano for Dior
And the fashion designer came back in 2010.
2011 – Alber Elbaz for Lanvin
A traditional take on Christmas décor.
2012 – Kally Ellis for Alexander McQueen
A stunning design in the signature style of Alexander McQueen.
2013 – Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana
An extravagant design by the fashion house Dolce & Gabanna.
2014 – Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana
Claridge selected Dolce & Gabanna two years in a row.
2015 – Christopher Bailey for Burberry
Two years ago Burberry presented the hotel with this crystal and gold design.
2016 – Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson
Last year’s design was a bit unconventional with a forest setup.
2017 – Karl Lagerfeld
This year the selected designer was the one and only Karl Lagerfeld. The final result was a beautiful upside-down pine tree located in the hotel’s main entrance and which was unveiled on the 22nd of November. Lagerfeld was delighted to take on the project as he revealed that “Christmas trees are what I remember most from my happy childhood”.
