The second edition of the biannual design show – Maison et Objet Paris – will take place from 2-6 of September under the theme: House of Games.

“Step into the game, a world full of signs, shapes, colours and tales, to reinitiate the creative mind” is the motto for the edition of one of the major design events worldwide.

According to the organization “our playfulness is fed by the aesthetics of board games, games of chance and games of balance (…) The rules of this game? To bring drama to décor, to bet on joyous and elegant maximalism, to play the card of Strange Beauty. In the luxury of this new decorative art, the colour red trumps all others.”

Maison Valentina will roll the dices in this game by presenting sensuous and precious bathroom design pieces in partnership with Boca do Lobo at Hall 7 G14 H13.

KOI carp is a recurring symbol of Japanese culture, highly appreciated by its decorative purposes, not only in water gardens but also in Irezumi practice or, most commonly, in tattoos. Its natural color mutations reveal their capacity to adapt, just like the KOI freestanding washbasin that would fit perfect in your bathroom. The KOI scales from the sides of the washbasin shine and reflect – on its brass surface – the sun caught throughout the clear water.
