Richards Stanisich draws inspiration from the building’s history, people and the natural environment. As a result, environments are created with integrity and intention.
They are a firm believer in doing things right. There will be no shortcuts, innovative solutions, or hasty conclusions.
Richards Stanisich is also aware that things do not always go as planned.
Above all, they prioritize the people with whom they work; it is this mutual respect and natural affinity that keeps clients returning again and again.
The structure underwent a comprehensive restoration, which resulted in completely new interior layouts and an architectural extension with a garden terrace.
The transition from light timbers and translucent glass screens to black terrazzo and steel-framed doors to the terrace characterizes the interaction between the ancient structure and the contemporary expansion. The interiors reacted to the building’s historic status with beautiful elements that will stand the test of time.
A pure white palette, natural granite, timber accents, and a splash of colour in the bathrooms underpin each plan. To create interiors with a feeling of quiet serenity, Richards Stanisich examined the maximization of light, the proportions of the details, and the layouts of the homes. In keeping with this, the display suite’s style was chosen to convey the feeling of a pleasant and relaxing home hideaway amongst the urban and industrial backdrop of Marrickville.
Flat interiors were created in this project with a delicate and lasting quality while adhering to the severe standards of the Accessibility Code for Housing for the Elderly and Disabled.
To meet both the aesthetic and functional needs of the brief, two interior designs with a tranquil and natural ambience, a soft detail palette, and cantilevered projections were conceived.
House Taurus’ interiors were created as a sophisticated and tactile reaction to the waterfront surroundings. Each piece inside these sculptural rooms was meticulously crafted to bring forth the natural beauty of the materials.
The way sunlight passes through the spaces and interacts with the shapes and materials was an important consideration in the interior design and details. Natural wood, leather, and rough-textured stone convey a sense of rawness inside the concrete construction while yet providing the customer with a sumptuous and controlled sense of luxury.
When Richards Stanisich was commissioned to remodel, add a pool, and expand the home to connect it with the off-street garage, very little of the interiors were in their original form.
Their design, inspired by beautiful modernist planning concepts, offers a flow of space through all regions. The client’s love of mid-century style is evident in the joinery detailing and colour and pattern accents in the interior areas.
Premier Place is a Sydney development that seamlessly integrates architecture, interiors, and landscaping. The delicacy of detail and proportion associated with stately homes influenced the interiors.
With wood ceilings and tumbled stone flooring, each unit feels intimate upon entry. The joinery is made of natural wood and has panelled doors with rattan or perforated metal. The hallways are wide and the ceilings are high – it is a generously proportioned apartment building where the outside scenery is a part of the living experience.
This building, which was built in the 1890s, required a rethinking of the floor plan and rationalization of space to fit the current demands of a young family of four. The new design is a subtle evolution/development of the building’s original identity, without abandoning the traditional appealing characteristics.
The design embraces the difficult triangle floor plan by introducing new elements: a glass vestibule distinguishes the entry from the living area; a garden terrace injects natural light, and the built-in leather bench and oak kitchen table provide a focal core for the family to meet.
This property, which has a direct view of Bondi Beach, encapsulates the spirit of beachfront life in Sydney. A palette of subdued tones brings in the ocean without competing with the view and is filled with natural light.
The interiors exude sumptuous ease. The materials were chosen for their tactile properties; the kitchen benches are crackling ceramic, the timber joinery has a raw feel, and the soft-coloured concrete flooring is cold underfoot. The internal rooms merge, although thresholds are defined by deep timber architraves. The end product is a home that evokes the vibrancy and easygoing character of Bondi Beach.
The interiors of Paragon feature a raw simplicity inspired by Pyrmont’s harbourside industrial background. Concrete flooring and rendered walls are accented with opulent features such as bronze glass cabinets and curved ribbed panelling in the lift cores. The materials utilized have been chosen to emphasize the sculptural flow of internal space through each dwelling. These apartments and terraces on the outskirts of Sydney’s CBD respond to the area’s history in a very contemporary and stylish way.
This apartment symbolizes everything Bondi—laid-back, it’s happy and elegant. It brilliantly conveys the simple pleasure of living by the beach. The sculptural arching curves, subdued tones, and modern furnishings all contribute to an astonishing sensation of lightness. Textiles and finishings lend a sumptuous sense that is ideal for the Bondi beachfront lifestyle.
