Where’s the best place to show off your Oscar? According to Kate Winslet it’s where she keeps hers, the bathroom.

She’s elegant, talented, successful and has a wicked sense of humor. She’ll stick the Best Actress Oscar she took home for The Reader in her bathroom.

Six Academy Awards nominations later, the 39 year-old star finally netted the Oscar in 2009 for “The Reader,” winning Best Actress. After much thought, Winslet decided the optimal place for the coveted award to reside would be in her bathroom. In an interview with WSJ Magazine, she made a very compelling argument as to why that’s the best place for the award.

“The whole point is for everybody to pick it up and go, ‘I’d like to thank my son and my dad’—and you can always tell when someone has, because they’re in there a little bit longer after they flushed,” Winslet said. “They’ll come out looking slightly pink-cheeked. It’s hysterical.”

Could you believe in this? Well it’s a good point and as far as we can see bathrooms are more often used and on the spotlights.
