Marcel Wanders is known for creating passionate and exciting designs and environments that can really make dreams come true. In his creations, the designer never fails to surprise for its ingenuity, daring and singular quest to uplift the human spirit and entertain. The established Dutch designer has created a few bathroom collections, however, today, our blog will focus on the spectacular Bagno Bisazza collection.

Bagno Bisazza was created in 2005 and it was based upon the recognisable shape of an everyday bar of soap. These contemporary functional and poetic pieces were designed in order to play with scale.

The collection is comprised of a group of enticing luxury bathroom designs, including a bathtub, a washbasin, a bidet and a toilet. To further enhance the luxury bathroom experience, a series of antique dark wood mirrors, tables ande exclusive shower chandeliers were added to Bisazza.

In addition, new designs featuring architectural characteristics were also developed, including faucets, cabinets and fixtures, all based on and connected to Bisazza’s typical square tile shape.

While some of these pieces may diverge in character, when combined they give an unparalleled charm and sense of imagination to any bathroom setting.

“The ultimate clean! This idea I held for a long time, before Bisazza helped me realize it. Bathing, like clothing, is one of the most personal components of daily life. And interior style, like all style, has become a mode to evaluate the anxieties of contemporary society. The haste and fuss of ordinary life is only getting faster and it is getting increasingly difficult to switch off. People are surrounded by other people all day both physically and digitally and so I was looking for a way to offer a sanctuary from the world. I consider bathrooms to be the one space you can be alone so I designed this collection to provide a fresh, beautiful and solitary space where one can focus and take care of themselves” – Marcel Wanders.
