The “Design Miami“ international fair, which takes place annually, starts on December 5, as the name says in the city of Miami, Florida. The sister ”Design Basel” in Switzerland occurs every year in June.
The fair was created in 2005 under the name of ”Design.05” expanding a year later to Switzerland, then changing to the current name.
Both begin at the same time with their sisters, ”Art Basel” and ”Art Basel: Miami Beach”, to attract the attention to the arts and design.
Design Miami brings together gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world to celebrate and promote collectible design.
In this edition don’t Forget to visit Curio the newest platform which invites designers, curators, innovators and gallerists to present cabinets of curiosity to the fair.
Design TALKS program gives the design world’s most compelling contemporary topics, taking together the creatives, collectors and critics actively leading design discussion and production.

Global Arts enlisted famous Portuguese artist VHILS to start the first-ever solo show labeled ”Ethereal” at its GGA Gallery space during the expected Art Basel 2018 celebrations.

Banksy born in 1974 and is a veteran British street artist whose stencil works are easily found on the streets of Bristol but also in London and various cities around the world.
”This body of work was displayed at numerous art fairs across the globe throughout 2018, with the tour set to conclude at Art Basel Miami 2018.”

Miami-born street artist Alex Yanes is recognized for his vibrating artworks that carry influence from his Cuban roots, Miami, and skateboard culture.
”For Art Basel 2018, Yanes teamed up with Nike’s “Makers Studio” to present three large-scale art installations on display alongside customizable apparel and sneakers designed by the artist.”
