Design TO Festival: Check All The Highlights: DesignTO, formerly Toronto Design Offsite Festival, is Canada’s most significant cultural presentation of design with more 100 exhibitions and events forming Toronto’s design week, January 18-27, 2019. We’ll, show you the highlights of this influential event!
It was the 9th year, of Festival Toronto that turned into a hub for creativity, leading design, and art outside of the studio and into the urban sphere, taking people together to admire contemporary culture. They provided opportunities for emerging talent and joined the community with exceptional and open public programming.

”In January 2018, the Festival had direct participation from 800+ artists and designers, 140K + visitors, 95+ million press impressions, and 500+ million total brand impressions.”
This shows how this festival became a reference to Design and Art in Canada, certainly a good place to visit in next year, get to know better what happened inside this event!
One of the best events at DesignTO was what they call the DesignTO Launch Party!

In connection with the exhibition ‘Surface Tension’, Alexander Groves and Azusa Murakami of the internationally acclaimed Studio Swine they discussed their work using water, demonstrating how combining water conservation with art engages the public with water scarcity and creates a connection to something commonly overlooked.

DesignTO’s fourth annual symposium brought ten experts into one room for an inspiring discussion on the Future of Work. The event features five thematic sessions on topics like meaningful work, inclusion and diversity, workspace, economic systems, and ethics.

Herman Miller sponsored the 7th annual DesignTO Awards.
DesignTO Awards recognize design excellence in the Festival each year, in three categories: Best in Festival, Juror’s Choice, and People’s Choice, with 21 awards.
