This time around, Maison et Objet<\/a> will be going to Lebanon by chosen six of its most emerging and talented designers.\u00a0Carlo Massoud<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Marc Dibeh<\/a>,\u00a0Carla Baz<\/a>,\u00a0Anastasia Nysten<\/a>,\u00a0Studio Caramel<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Paola Sakr<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0were the creators chosen by the jury to represent the future of Lebanese design. A new generation that has followed in their elders\u2019 footsteps by putting their international experience to the service of local, usually little-known manufacturing techniques.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis new generation shares one common trait: optimism. At a time when Lebanon is facing grim prospects and facing challenges to solve its problems, these young designers produce pieces that express happiness. THE DESIGNER OF THE YEAR:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

With every new edition,\u00a0Maison<\/strong>&<\/strong>Objet\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>Paris<\/strong>\u00a0elects a Designer of the Year to honour one of the most outstanding names in industrial and interior design worldwide. In September 2018,\u00a0Maison<\/strong>&<\/strong>Objet\u00a0Paris<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has chosen to celebrate the talent of Ramy Fischler.!<\/p>\n

After concluding his design studies at ENSCILes Ateliers in Paris in 2004, he then went to work with Patrick Jouin. It was there he started to explore all expressions of design until he founded his own studio in 2011. Fischler enjoys questioning the value of a function, he follows various steps in his creative process to achieve the final result, including anticipating tomorrow\u2019s behaviors, defining the reason and use of each project and visualizing the environment where a piece would be effective.<\/p>\n
