Fox-Nahem Associates\u2019 Studio<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Joe and his late business partner, Tom Fox, were born and raised in\u00a0New York City<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and founded\u00a0Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong>\u00a0n their early twenties. After three decades of expertise, Joe and his dedicated team have established a network of loyal partners that assist them in bringing their creative designs, which are unique to each project, to reality. He curates rare vintage artifacts and collaborates with artists, craftspeople, and artisans from all over the world, changing with the times without succumbing to trends. Hand-loomed fabrics from Switzerland, handmade woven rugs from South Africa, and wonderfully constructed metal furniture from Brooklyn have all been commissioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fox-Nahem<\/strong>\u00a0has been included in a number of top design lists, including the AD 100, Elle Decor A-List-Top 25, New York Magazine\u2019s Top 100, New York Spaces Top 50 Designers, and Luxe Magazine\u2019s Gold List, in addition to features in most major design journals and several books on interiors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Robert A.M. Stern Townhouse in West Village, NYC<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This newly constructed townhouse in Manhattan\u2019s West Village was designed by Robert A.M. Stern. The five-story home was re-imagined by Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> adding texture, warmth, form, and color while still accommodating the client\u2019s extensive art collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Puck Building Penthouse in NYC<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This new penthouse, designed by architect Jose Ramirez was constructed atop NYC\u2019s famed Puck Building. Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> was called upon to reconfigure the spaces and create a warm and comfortable environment for a young family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Paul Rudolph Townhouse in Greenwich Village, NYC<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This landmark 19th Century townhouse was originally re-designed by Paul Rudolph in the 1970s. The new owners called upon Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> to collaborate with Steven Harris Architects on a complete gut renovation while still maintaining much of the character of Rudolph\u2019s intended design.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. The Dakota Building in NYC<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A chance to tackle \u2018New Traditional\u201d at one of the most prestigious buildings in NYC was a welcome one for the Fox-Nahem team. The goal was to create a space with a lighter more contemporary feeling while maintaining the formal grandeur originally intended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Robert Downey Jr. Windmill \u2018Cottage in East Hampton, NY<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, producer Susan Downey, take a break from the fast lane in a magical Hamptons compound tailor-made for family fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Gramercy Park Penthouse<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For a single father, Fox-Nahem<\/strong> Associates <\/strong>crafted a Gramercy Park penthouse that is as elegantly tailored as a bespoke suit, and just as comfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Southampton Residence<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Working closely with their clients who had owned this traditional, south of the highway house since the early 1990\u2019s, Fox-Nahem<\/strong> Associates<\/strong> completely repurposed the space for their current lives as empty nesters. What had been intended as a refresh quickly morphed into a rebuild, so that an inadequate Family Room, a too-tight Master Suite and outdated Kitchen were re-imagined for their needs today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \"Maison<\/a>\n\n\n\n

8. Greenwich Residence<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A young, dynamic family with a significant contemporary art collection and very traditional furniture, approached FN to update the interiors of their expansive, classic Greenwich home to more accurately reflect their current tastes. No corner of this 10,000 square foot home was left untouched. Seamlessly combining refined vintage pieces, bespoke designs, and commissioned artisan pieces Fox-Nahem<\/strong> Associates<\/strong> deftly created a highly personal environment characterized by elegance, timelessness and a dash of whimsy. In the end, Fox-Nahem<\/strong> Associates<\/strong> struck a harmonious balance between art and interiors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. NYC Residence<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For a NYC full-floor apartment owned by a second-time client, FN took a very \u201cvanilla\u201d undistinguished space and enhanced it by adding layers of architectural and finish detail. Plaster wall finishes, fluted walnut paneling, and new bathrooms were complemented by custom-designed and found vintage pieces, eliminating whatever generic, spec-apartment quality was originally there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. East Hampton Beach House<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
