The \u201cDesign Miami<\/a>\u201c<\/strong> international fair, which takes place annually, starts on December 5, as the name says in the city of Miami, Florida. The sister \u201dDesign Basel\u201d<\/strong> in Switzerland occurs every year in June.<\/p>\n

The fair was created in 2005<\/strong> under the name of \u201dDesign.05\u201d<\/strong> expanding a year later to Switzerland<\/strong>, then changing to the current name.<\/p>\n

Both begin at the same time with their sisters, \u201dArt Basel\u201d<\/strong> and \u201dArt Basel: Miami Beach\u201d<\/strong>, to attract the attention to the arts and design.<\/p>\n

Design Miami<\/strong> brings together gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world to celebrate and promote collectible design.<\/p>\n

In this edition don\u2019t Forget to visit Curio<\/strong> the newest platform which invites designers, curators, innovators and gallerists to present cabinets of curiosity to the fair.<\/p>\n
