“I love a glamorous bathroom,” designer Marshall Watson says. He turned the bathin a Florida house into a spa-like oasis with floor-to-ceiling windows, a Waterworks cast-iron tub, a custom vanity with crystal bars, also by Waterworks, and a crystal chandelier from John Salibello. Walls are Silver Satin in Aura by Benjamin Moore.
Chinoiserie wallpaper and gilt mirrors may not be what you’d expect to find in a bathroom for two girls ages 7 and 11. But why not? “That wallpaper is so pretty, and the mint-green background makes it fresh and young,” says designer Elizabeth Stamos. “This is a room the girls will still love when they’re stylish young women. It’s timeless, and it looks like it belongs in this beautiful Victorian house in Evanston, Illinois.
This bathroom was designed by Pamela Butz and Jeffrey Klug, a plane of frosted glass separates the wet side of the bathroom, with the open shower, from the dry side, with the sink. Hansgrohe’s Downpour 180 showerhead makes you feel as if you’re standing under a water fall.
In a Tenafly, in New Jersye, the batroom, the Art Deco allure of mirror and marble gets a cool, sleek update from designer Nancy Epstein. Charleston antiqued mirror adds a touch of mystery to a room wrapped in Calacatta Gold marble and with inserts of Arpell Bianco mosaic tile, all by Artistic Tile. Medicine cabinets by Robern accented. Sconces by Visual Comfort. Marcelle faucet by Waterdecor. Restoration Hardware towels.
